Meet Tim Mueller

Tim Mueller is a professional climber from Switzerland, with a BS in product design to support his passion. He splits his time between Wales, UK and the Alps in Switzerland. As a poly-athlete, you will find him at the crags in the summer, and hanging from icicles or shredding pow in the winter. “From a young age, I have always had a passion for being outside. When I was 10, I discovered the sport of climbing. It all started by building my own harnesses out of old rope and abseiling out of trees all round my neighborhood. Three years later, I moved from my small hometown in Switzerland to boarding school in Wales, where the climbing bug got me! I would get up at 6am to get an hour of bouldering in before breakfast, go to school all day and get in another evening bouldering session before dinner. As things progressed further being an avid skier and mountaineer, I went on winning races at the Scottish Skimo sires, and becoming a finalist in the British and Swiss ice climbing championships. Thus brings me to one if my best mountain days I’ve had in Wales, which started off with a morning of Skimo runs up and down the Carnedd Dafydd on some classic Welsh pow, followed by an afternoon trail run in the clouds and to finish up the day an evening sport climb at the coast in the sunshine."

"People say you are what you eat, but I believe you also 'are what you wear.' Living sustainably isn't just about what you do, but also about what you put on your body. Wearing eco eye protection is #1 RAD, #2 benefits the planet, and #3 helps you see the world through eco lenses. Thanks ZEAL for making that possible!"
