
Ben Ayers is a climber, film producer, National Geographic Explorer and humanitarian based in Kathmandu, Nepal. He began his career in 1999 by founding the Nepali NGO Porters’ Progress that advocated for safer working conditions for local laborers in the expedition and trekking industries. His latest project *The Last Honey Hunter* was published in the July 2017 edition of National Geographic, and includes an award winning short film. This project took nine years to complete.
