This holiday season, as part of our annual “Buy A Zeal, Plant A Tree” program, we will donate $1 from every Zeal sold in Australia towards planting a tree in Australia. Our mission is to create sunglasses that enhance your time outdoors while working to protect the world around us. In our commitment to reduce environmental impacts, we focus on programs like this and use plant-based resources in the manufacturing of our sunglass frames and lenses.
The Seedling Bank & National Tree Day
Established in 1992, Planet Ark is one of Australia's most respected and trusted environmental organisations, and is focused on solutions and making positive environmental actions accessible to everyone. Planet Ark's goal is to build a better world – one where humans not only live in balance with nature, but help it to thrive.
A part of this was founding National Tree Day, which has seen Australian communities plant over 26 million trees, since 1996. Their goal is to further support Australian communities with their planting efforts, by providing financial support where seedlings are needed most.
To do this, they established The Seedling Bank program in 2019 with the central goal of supplying native seedlings to schools and community groups around Australia. Financial grants are awarded directly to successful applicants to get seedlings in the ground and help restore our unique Australian landscape.
